JOB SUMMARY:
The Bureau of Indian Affairs is the lead agency for the United States in carrying on a government-to-government relationship with the tribal nations. THIS POSITION IS A SECONDARY-ADMINISTRATIVE FIREFIGHTER POSITION UNDER THE SPECIAL RETIREMENT PROVISIONS OF 5 U.S.C. 8336(c) and 5 U.S.C. 8412 (d). THIS POSITION REQUIRES PREVIOUS FIREFIGHTING EXPERIENCE.
Applicants must meet the basic OPM qualifications standards and the following MANDATORY SELECTIVE FACTOR: Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of wildland fire fighting as demonstrated by wildland fire fighting experience.
