The permanent duty location will be Atlanta, GA, with an overseas 
rotational assignment to a designated location from two to five 
years.

These positions are with the Department of Health and Human 
Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Coordinating 
Center for Infectious Diseases, National Center for Immunization and 
Respiratory Diseases, Global Immunization Division, Atlanta, GA, 
with rotational assignments to a designated overseas duty location.

Serves as a technical officer in the Expanded Programme on 
Immunization (EPI), Global Program for Vaccine, World Health 
Organization (WHO), assisting WHO and/or country Ministry of Health 
officials to plan, implement and evaluate activities for EPI disease 
surveillance, control and eradication initiatives.

Overseas Assignments: Employees selected 
to serve on an overseas assignment are assigned 
for two years and must sign a rotational 
agreement. The assignment may be extended based 
on the needs of the agency.
  • This position is eligible for special pay allowances (e.g., post differential, housing, relocation, etc.)
  • Immunizations are required and will be administered by the CDC before relocating overseas.
  • Medical clearances are required for selectee and all family members before being posted overseas. Inability to secure clearances for oversas duty will result in termination of appointment to the position.
  • Citizens of permanent residents of the host country are not eligible to be considered.
