- The Health Scientist serves as an expert scientific and technical 
laboratory advisor to the Chief of Party guiding policy and programs 
affecting public health and clinical laboratory services in support 
of HIV/AIDS, TB and STD prevention, surveillance, treatment and care 
programs.
-This position is located with the Centers for Disease Control and 
Prevention, National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD and 
TB Prevention, Division of Global Aids with duty location in various 
geographical locations.

next grade level is at management's discretion and is based on you

the higher level duties, and administrative approval. Promotion to

Overseas Assignments: Overseas assignments are for two years 
and a rotational agreement must be signed.  The assignment may be 
extended based on the needs of the agency.  

This position is eligible for special pay allowances (e.g., 
post differential, housing, relocation, etc.)
 Immunizations are required and will be administered by the CDC 
before relocating overseas.
Medical clearances are required for selectee and all family 
members before being posted overseas.  Inability to secure these 
clearances for overseas duty will result in termination of 
appintment to the position.
Citizens or permanent residents of the host country are not 
eligible for consideration.
