WHO MAY BE CONSIDERED: Status eligibles - This announcement is open to current career or career-conditional Forest Service employees with competitive status. Applicants who are outside the Forest Service and could be appointed without having to compete under the provisions of the Forest Service Merit Promotion Plan (that is, current or former career or career-conditional federal employees in the competitive service who have held the target grade of the position or higher) may apply and will be given concurrent consideration. Promotable candidates outside the Forest Service will not be considered.
