For the GS-09 grade level: You must meet the Basic Qualifications as described above, and have a Master's degree or equivalent to a Master's degree in a related field OR 1 year of specialized work experience (work experience related to one or more of the specialty areas as described under Major Duties) equivalent to the GS-07 in the Federal service. For the GS-11 grade level: You must meet the Basic Qualifications as described above, and have a Ph.D degree or equivalent to a Ph.D degree in a related field OR 1 year of specialized work experience (work experience related to one or more of the specialty areas as described under Major Duties) equivalent to the GS-09 in the Federal service.
