The 27 Institutes and Centers at NIH employ approximately 18,000 scientists and administrative/support staff leading the way toward important medical discoveries that improve people's health and save lives.
National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute

If you are an exceptionally talented, knowledgeable and motivated individual with experience in participating in and managing the initial scientific and administrative review of center grant, program project grant, and training grant applications, multicenter clinical trial applications, and contract proposals, AND you want to play a significant role in a dynamic organization, then consider joining the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), Division of Extramural Research Activities (DERA), Review Branch (RB). 

Responsibilities of this Branch include providing the focal point for Institute conducted initial scientific merit review of the grant, training, fellowship, contracts, and center proposals; providing Scientific Review Administrators and support staff to initial review groups; and preparing and updating instructional materials for applicants describing the information required for submission and review. Ideal candidates will be respected, accomplished scientists with maturity, integrity and outstanding communication skills and have a demonstrated record of progressively responsible, complex and successful post-doctoral experience in independent research and research program administration.
