JOB SUMMARY:
The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) is one of the world's leading

This vacancy is for a Supervisory Economist position as The Chief of 
the Office of Methodology and Special Studies Branch, Balance of 
Payments Division located at the U.S. Department of Commerce, 
Bureau of Economic Analysis in Washington, DC.

The Chief of the Methodology and Special Studies Branch manages and 
directs professional staff and provides leadership and direction to 
the Balance and Payments Division's programs that evaluate and 
improve methodology and data quality, document existing programs, 
analyze and interpret international transactions, and release and 
disseminate publications.  The Chief of the Methodology and Special 
Studies Branch also provides economic advice and counsel on important 
agency programs and may spearhead interagency programs or conduct 
presentations for outside officials on keys programs, in support of 
BEA's Strategic Plan.
