Civil Engineering Technician Status- Merit Promotion

SALARY RANGE: 38,117.00 - 54,879.00 USD /year OPEN PERIOD: Wednesday, November 04, 2009 to Friday, December 04, 2009
SERIES & GRADE: GS-0802-7/8 POSITION INFORMATION: Full-Time  Permanent
PROMOTION POTENTIAL: 8 DUTY LOCATIONS:   vacancy(s) in one of the following locations:   1 vacancy - Kadoka, Philip OR Wall, SD

JOB SUMMARY:
The Natural Resources Conservation Service provides leadership in a partnership effort to help people conserve, maintain, and improve our natural resources and environment. http://www.nrcs.usda.gov

APPLICATIONS MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION and must be mailed/faxed and received by the closing date to the address/fax number listed at the end of this announcement.  No email submissions will be accepted.

___ 1) Resume or Form OF 612 (please include your email address)

___ 2) Transcript(s) (official or copy) if using education for qualification purposes

___ 3) Responses To The KSA's (Not More Than 2 Pages Per KSA)

____4) Standard Form SF 50 (Notice of Personnel Action)

____5) Performance appraisal (AD435 and AD435A) not more than 15 mo old showing at least a fully successful rating and with manual/electronic signatures.

___ DD-214 or SF-15 if you are claiming Veteran's Preference entitlement under VEOA or VRA hiring authorities.

Non-competitive (NC) candidates (Lat. Transfer, Reassign, Change to Lower Grade, etc.) will be referred for consideration.  NC candidates are not required to submit responses to KSAs but is highly recommended.  All NC applicants who meet minimum qualifications will be referred to the selecting official for consideration.  NC candidates must submit college transcripts (if using for qual purposes), copy of their SF 50, Performance Appraisal (must be dated within the last 15 months and shows elements used for rating, rating for each element, final rating score & a manual or electronic signature) & resume or OF 612.  Failure to submit any of these documents will result in removal from consideration.
